Grundtvig International Secondary School is a Nigerian independent boarding school in Oba, Anambra State. It is named after Danish philosopher N. F. S. Grundtvig and is built upon his folk high school education-for-life principles for education. It educates boys and girls 12 to 18 years old and was founded in 1998 by Dr. Kachi Ozumba Snr (1942–2011). The school won the 2013 Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN) Mathematics Competition in Anambra State. ==Overview== The campus is on 10 hectares of land and securely walled. It is a community of its own with staff quarters, students’ hostels, classrooms, workshops, sports facilities and administrative block. It is regarded as the best independent secondary school in the state, based on infrastructures and student satisfaction. Grundtvig International Secondary School is owned and operated by the Grundtvig Movement of Nigeria, a non-governmental organization. The Board of Trustees of the Grundtvig Movement controls the operations through the school principal. It is located near major cities like Asaba, Nnewi, Owerri and Port Harcourt in Oba, Idemili local government area of Anambra state, Nigeria, in West Africa.
